Too close can be a bad thing anywhere.

This is going to be brief because I have other shit to do and this just occured to me and I needed to write it down.

We tend to get close to things. REALLY close. We’re SO close we can’t realize how close we are. It’s a good idea that, every once in a while we take a step back and look at whatever the hell we were SO close to for whatever amount of time. Put it back in perspective and move accordingly.

This applies to anything. A project for your degree. A car you’ve been tinkering with. A person you’ve been casually flirting with for the past 15minutes. A relationship you’ve been in for so many days you’ve lost count or decided you didn’t want to count. It’s all there.

Take a step back. Look at your project, car, love interest, or soul mate and place it into perspective. If you find yourself too close, take a step back. In the same light, if you find yourself too far away, jump the fuck forward.

Whether too far, or too close. The important thing is to put it in to perspective.

Stay balanced.
